PCM and Pella Christian’s boys’ golfers had strong days at the 18-hole Colfax-Mingo tournament yesterday. The Mustangs and Eagles finished one-two, respectively, in the six-team tourney. PCM shot a 316 and was led by meet-medalist, Devon Woody, who carded a 72. Behind him for runner-up was teammate Justin Beener, shooting a 77. The Eagles were just three strokes behind PCM in the team scores, and had two guys tie for third place overall; Mitch Fopma and Graham Howerzyl each scored a 79. PCM is off until Tuesday at North Mahaska, while the Eagles are back at it Monday in Grinnell.
