If the PCM girls’ soccer team was looking for a true test before the postseason, they got exactly that and more so far this week. The Mustangs nearly came back from a three-goal deficit to beat South Tama, hung with a tough Des Moines Hoover squad, and this evening, they’ll try to tackle Centerville at home. The Big Red have had their struggles this season, too, entering play with a 3 – 7 mark. It’s a boys’ and girls’ doubleheader tonight; the lady Mustangs will play first at 5:30 p.m. with the boys’ game to follow at seven.
