Norwalk’s singles competitors set the tone early in their 9 – 2 victory over the Pella High girls’ tennis team last night. The Warriors won five of six, with the only win for Pella coming from Lauren Kriegel. Molly Kalwarf and Alli Dingeman had Pella’s only doubles win. You can see a full list of results below. Pella High is back in action later today at home against Boone.

#1 Singles : Wassenaar lost to Sam Roemen 1-6, 1-6.
#2 Singles : Kalkwarf lost 1-6, 4-6 to Sara Roemen.
#3 Singles : Buzick lost a very close match to Liz Nimmo in the third set tiebreak 6-4, 4-6, 7-10.
#4 Singles : Kriegel won a tight first set before turning it on in the second set to win 7-5, 6-2 against Allison Stanley.
#5 Singles : Dingeman lost to Taya Downs 5-7, 1-6.
#6 Singles : WIlborn lost 3-6, 3-6 to Elly Hofmaier.

#1 Doubles : Wassenaar and Buzick lost a very tough match 7-5, 0-6, 10-4 to Roemen and Roemen.
#2 Doubles : Kalkwarf and Dingeman had it working again and won 6-2, 7-5 after being down 1-5 in the second set against Nimmo and Stanley.
#3 Doubles : Wilborn and Williamson played in the 3 spot for the first time losing 4-6, 1-6 to Downs and Hofmaier.
#4 Doubles : Johnson and Bossard played at the 4 spot for the first time this year losing another close match 4-6, 7-6 (7-2), 2-10 to Baylie Martin and Kim Suckow.
#5 Doubles : Ernst and Sadler got their first taste of varsity and lost a tough one to Kenedi Walker and Katie Olson 5-7, 3-6.
