Both Pella and Pella Christian’s boys’ soccer teams couldn’t get one past a pair of stingy goaltenders last night. Pella High lost 1 – 0 to Perry, a team they could face in the substate finals for Class 2A. Coach Mark Solomon tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that goalkeeper Chase Petty continues to impress, as he came up with six quality saves despite letting one by him. The Eagles dropped a 5 – 0 bout with Grinnell. Pella’s boys are back in action tonight in Newton to face the Cardinals, while the Eagles play Friday at Bondurant-Farrar.
