Conference and state qualifying meets looming, the Pella Christian girls’ track teams are feeling pretty good about where they are at as May rolls in. The Eagles are preparing for the Little Hawkeye Conference meet coming up on Monday, which will be a good test for their state qualifying meet in roughly a week-and-a-half. Coach Kevin Herdegen tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that the conference meet in Pella on the other side of the weekend will be just a shade more difficult than their state qualifying meet at Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont. He adds that though they have seen bigger schools over the past few weeks of meets, his gals are still showing some progress. The Eagles are off until Monday due to Tulip Time in Pella.
