For the first time in 44 years, Central baseball has an All-American player. Senior designated hitter, Robbie Rushing, was named to the second team of the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings All-America squad. John Edwards was the last Dutch baseball player to be named to such a list. Rushing led Central with a .410 average and hit six out of the park this season with 46 RBI’s total. Central went 28 – 16 in 2014 and finished third in the Iowa Conference and second at the league tournament to Buena Vista.
