What is more than likely a preview of future Bluegrass Conference games involving Twin Cedars, the Sabers’ baseball team demolished Lamoni in every sense of the word last night, 23 – 2 in four innings. Coy Moore scored five runs, Garret Pettyjohn had three hits with five RBI’s, and Otis Roby earned the win on the mound, throwing four innings with one hit and a walk. The Saber girls won 3 – 2 in nine innings over Lamoni on the softball diamond. Brittney Roby had the win on the mound and struck out 17 batters. Roby also drove in the game-winning RBI. Baylee Zellmer was 2-for-4 at the plate. The Twin Cedars’ softball team is 2 – 1 on the year while the boys are 6 – 0. Both are back at it on Monday at Moravia.
