The awards continue to come for the Central baseball team. Following a 28 – 16 campaign in the 2014 season, three Dutch players made it to the ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III Central Region squad. Designated hitter, Robbie Rushing, was picked to the first team. Rushing led the Dutch in hitting with a .410 average, contributing a school-record 23 doubles, six home runs and 46 RBI’s. Shortstop Jordan Judkins and pitcher Judson McKown were each named to the third team. Judkins batted .379 and drove in 30 RBI’s at the top of Central’s batting order, while McKown led Central with a 1.50 ERA which included three complete game shutouts. The 28 wins were the second most in program history, and the seniors racked up north of 100 victories over the past four years.
