The PCM girls’ golf team ended up in third place in lieu of a tiebreaker in yesterday’s first round of the Class 3A regional tournament at Terrace Hills. The Mustangs shot a score of 430 and tied with Roland-Story. Coach Val Edwards tells KNIA/KRLS Sports she is very proud of her girls, ending up tied for second and finishing behind only the number one team in the state in Class 3A, Kuemper Catholic. Cassidy Van Veen led the Mustangs with a round of 87, good for third best. Kelsey Van Veen was ninth overall with a round of 95. Full results are below. Cassidy Van Veen moves on to play on May 27th as an individual at the 5 x 80 Golf Course in Menlo, trying to advance to the state tournament.
