Announcing his retirement a few weeks ago, former Central men’s and women’s tennis coach, Steve Tyler will be leaving the next head coach in good hands. Both squads were in the middle of the pack in their conference tournaments, and each only lost a couple of seniors to graduation. One sophomore on the women’s team, Angie Allgood, will be back in the fall, and was named to the Capital One Academic All-District at-large team for her efforts on and off the tennis courts. Coach Tyler says she will be an important part of the Dutch in the future. The women’s team lost two seniors and the men lost three, and they’ll each begin their fall seasons in late August.
