There is water main work going on on the north side of Pleasant Street, across from Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville. Knoxville Water Works General Manager Brian Bailey says the work is being done to replace 1200 feet of an old cast main, that is more than 100 years old. He says there have been some problems with it, and this new main wil improve the distribution system. Bailey says no lane closures on Pleasant are anticipated, and work should be completed mid to late next week.
