An area man suffered minor injuries after flipping his car Sunday afternoon. The man lost control of his vehicle at approximately 1:30 Sunday afternoon and the car ended up on its top in a water-filled ditch alongside Old Highway 102 near the South Skunk River, six miles northeast of the Mahaska and Marion County Border. He was able to escape the vehicle under his own power. Traffic was reduced to one lane temporarily as crews responded. Pella Rural Fire, Pella Ambulance, and Mahaska County Sheriff’s Office all responded to the scene.
