Miyoko Hikiji

Army veteran Miyoko Hikiji, author of “All I Could Be: My Story as a Woman Warrior in Iraq,” will visit the Knoxville Public Library Thursday evening at 6:30. Hikiji enlisted in the Army in 1995 and spent just over a year in Iraq. She says she knew she was living a story while she was in Iraq, so she kept journals of her time there. By the time she left, two of her battle buddies had died there, and she wanted to make sure people knew something more of their lives, than that they died in Iraq. The program is open to the public, and free to attend.
