Eagles’ Baseball Surges, Softball Edged by TigerHawks

Pella Christian’s baseball team snapped a four-game losing streak with a 15 – 1 trouncing of Colfax-Mingo last night. Josh Rolffs earned the win on the mound, giving up five hits and striking out five. Jason Holwerda, Andrew VanderHart, Coltin Collins and Jaden Rolffs all had two hits at the plate. The lady Eagles dropped a 4 – 3 decision to the TigerHawks. Pella Christian pounded out nine hits, including three singles from Abby Pleima, Tessa Howerzyl belted a home run, and Sophie Howerzyl had a double. Eagles’ baseball is now 4 – 5, the softball team stumbles to 5 – 4. Pella Christian plays host to Pella tonight for a pair of doubleheaders.
