Pella High baseball came back twice from one-run deficits, but couldn’t climb out of a two-run, ninth inning hole in a 6 – 4 loss to Pella Christian. Coltin Collins came in relief of Clay Stravers and earned the win on the mound, despite hitting two batters and giving up three walks and a hit in three innings of work. Jaden Rolffs had the game-winning RBI double in the final frame with the contest tied at four. Ben Bouwcamp also had three, first-pitch singles, an RBI and scored two runs for the Eagles. Jason Morgan hit his seventh home run of the season and Ethan Butler had two hits for the Little Dutch. Pella falls to 16 – 9 while the Eagles are now 8 – 14. Pella Christian hosts a doubleheader with Norwalk and Pella will go to Knoxville for two on Monday.
