PCM softball came away a tourney winner at the Pella Christian Invite this past weekend. The Eagles started the day with a 6 – 2 win over Belle Plaine, doling out 13 hits in the victory. Abby Pleima and Sophie Howerzyl each had a pair of base knocks, while Taylor Hartson had two singles and a double to her credit. PCM won their first round game over Humboldt, 12 – 2 in just six innings. The championship game pitted the Eagles and the Mustangs against one another, and it was PCM that won resoundingly, 13 – 2. Tessa Howerzyl had two hits in the loss. Pella Christian is 11 – 15 on the year and PCM swells to 16 – 7. The Mustangs take on C-M-B on Monday and the Eagles are at Norwalk.
