Seven runs in the third and seven more in the fourth allowed Knoxville to blow past Pella 14-2 last night in softball action. The Lady Dutch actually led 2-0 after pushing across a run in the first after Sara Tallman led off the game with a triple and was brought home by Sierra Williams. Pella’s other run was an R-B-I single by pitcher Elyse Sadler. After that it was all Knoxville as the Panthers reeled by 14 unanswered runs. Coach Steph Christner said after a slow start her team relaxed and just played. Emily Wallace got the win going four innings giving up two runs on five hits no walks and one strike outs, Elyse Sadler took the loss. Knoxville is 5-7 on the season and 4-3 in the Little Hawkeye Conference while Pella drops to 2-11 and 1-6 in the conference.
