The Knoxville Softball Squad split a pair of games in Newton last night. The Panthers won the first game 6-3 and dropped the nightcap 6-4. Carrie Chambers went 3/4 with two stolen bases and Avery Neer went 3/4 while Ricki Hall had two RBI in game one. Emily Wallace got the win with seven strikeouts. Wallace also took the loss in relief in game two striking out five. Taylor Carter was 2/2 with an RBI. The Panthers’ record is still even now at 11-and-11 on the season and stand at 8-6 in the Little Hawkeye Conference. The Panthers step out of conference play host Keokuk tonight in varsity double header.
