The Knoxville Softball Squad and Oskaloosa played nine innings and could not decide who wanted to win. So Mother Nature sent everyone home as lighting danced around the sky and officials decided after about a 20 minute delay that the weather was not going to improve. The game will be resumed with the score tied at one and Oskaloosa at bat heading into the top of the tenth inning on July third. The Indians scored first in the fifth, then Knoxville struck in the bottom of the seventh when Carrie Chambers legged out an infield single to score Lucy Olsen. Both Osky and Knoxville pitchers controlled the game. Knoxville’s Emily Wallace had scattered five hits and struck out seven.
