The young PCM softball team strung together another win last night, this time over Gilbert, 6 – 2. Rachel Freland was the winning pitcher with a quintet of strikeouts. Jayci Vos had three hits at the plate, Katie VandeWall had a triple and Abbi Gilson drove in two runs. The Mustang boys couldn’t hang onto a 2 – 1 lead in the middle innings and fell to the Tigers, 7 – 3. Clay Cooper and Troy Vittetoe each had two hits, and the Mustang defense committed three errors. PCM boys drop to 7 – 6 and the girls swell to 12 – 4. They will each get on the bus and play Greene County on Friday.
