The final time Pella High and Pella Christian boys’ sports do battle in the 2013-14 season happens tonight on the baseball diamond at Pella High. Both squads have been going in opposite directions as of late. The Little Dutch have plenty of momentum after a very convincing sweep of Grinnell on Wednesday, including a defeat of ace Eli Dunne. For the Eagles, they recorded just their first conference victory of the season two days ago over Oskaloosa. Both teams are young, and Coach Jesse Jablonski says one freshman that has really shined wearing the green this season is utility infielder, Tyler Hillman. Eagles’ coach, Nate Johnson, says that despite his team’s struggles in the conference, his guys are still keeping their heads up. You can hear tonight’s game live on 92.1 KRLS and streamed live at KNIAKRLS.com with Cory Houser on providing the play-by-play. Pregame starts at 7:15 p.m. with first pitch at 7:30.
