Spending the majority of her time recruiting and preparing for the 2014-15 Central women’s basketball season, head coach, Chelsea Petersen, was able to take a week and experience women’s basketball at the highest level: the WNBA. Coach Petersen was able to go east to Indiana and watch the Fever practice and take in a couple games. Lin Dunn is the skipper for the Fever, and Petersen says she learned a lot about talking with her coaching staff and her players in the short time she was in attendance. Chelsea Petersen says the goal for her team next season is to make the conference tournament for the first time in over ten years. She adds that she is excited about the possibilities with the returning players and the incoming freshmen who could have an immediate impact on the varsity squad.
