Twin Cedars’ bats were again hot to the touch last night against Orient-Macksburg before the rain came in and literally put a damper on things. The Saber softball team was up 8 – 0 with two on and no outs in the fourth inning when the storm hit. Coach Zack Dunkin says that the game will likely be finished on Monday at home. The Saber boys were about ready to put a win in their pocket, up 19 – 0 over the Bulldogs going into the third inning before their contest was suspended. Drew Carlson was on the mound and pitched two innings and allowed no hits. The offense cranked out 14 hits and were led by Otis Roby who had two doubles, a home run and six runs batted in. Hunter Embray also had a homer for the Sabers, and the game is postponed to a later date. Both teams get back on the diamond tonight at home against Moravia.
