Spending 11 years as the skipper for Central baseball, Coach Adam Stevens is moving on to bigger and brighter things over at Aurora College in Illinois. Though it’s unknown whether Stevens will be on Aurora’s local public-access television show, “Wayne’s World,” but he will be the head coach for a squad that went 10 – 28 a year ago, but has won 21 conference championships and appeared in six NCAA Division III World Series. During his time at Central, Stevens compiled a 253 – 193 record, and guided the team to their first outright Iowa Conference championship in 64 years. For that effort, he was named the Central Region coach of the year. Athletic Director, Eric Van Kley says that the search for a new coach is already in progress.
