Marion County Attorney Ed Bull tells KNIA KRLS News that District Court Judge Gary Kimes convicted Tiffany Brown of Albia, of the crime of Theft in the 3rd Degree Thursday morning. Brown had been allegedly stealing a variety of items from a residence in Knoxville in June of 2013. The Court found the State proved beyond a reasonable doubt that Brown took items not belonging to her with the intent to permanently deprive the rightful owner of the property. The Court further found that the value of the property stolen was between 500 and $1000. Sentencing has been set for July 25, 2014. Brown was represented by Robert Conrad, and the State by Marion County Attorney Ed Bull. At the time of sentencing the State will be requesting that Defendant Brown be sentenced to prison.

Bull says “I wish to thank the Jamie Robinson of the Knoxville Police Department, Sgt. Tyson Irvin of the Albia Police Department for their assistance in their investigation and retrieval of some of the items that were stolen. I also wish to thank our Legal Intern Will Wadle and Victim Witness coordinator Kristine Link for their assistance in this case.”
