An area teen is competing against the best equestrian riders in the country this weekend. Nadine Van Zomeren from Timber Hill Farms in rural Leighton is competing at the International Saddle Seat Equestrian World Cup competition in Asheville, North Carolina. Renae Van Zomeren, her mother, has operated their farm for decades. She says the sport is all about balance, and says achieving a world-class level of balancing on horse is tricky with a one and a half ton animal that doesn’t speak. We have more with Nadine on Let’s Talk Pella.
