There’s still time to register for a race this weekend benefiting the Pella and Knoxville Cross Country teams. The two teams are looking for runners to participate in a fundraising race this weekend as a part of Balloon Fest festivities. Pella Cross Country Coach Mike Buchheit says the race started as a result of rapidly growing cross country programs at both schools. Race-day registration for the Balloon Fest 5k/10k starts at 7 a.m. Saturday at North Overlook Beach at Lake Red Rock and the races starts at 8.
