For what has become an incredible ride for both teams, Twin Cedars and Pleasantville’s baseball clubs do battle in Bussey tonight in the Class 1A District 12 final. For one school, it’ll be their last game of the season. The other moves just one game away from a trip to Principal Park and the state tournament. The two squads met up on July 7, with the Sabers coming away with an 11 – 4 win, but don’t put too much stock into that. Neither team started their best pitching, and the game was tied at four after four innings. Sabers’ Coach Matt Miller says they know they’ll be facing a dynamite all-around team, and says a quick start will be key for either school tonight. Trojans’ coach, Sheldon Card, says his guys will need to execute tonight. Otis Roby and Josh Luna are expected to be on the hill for their respective teams this evening. You can hear tonight’s big game live on 92.1 KRLS and streamed live at KNIAKRLS.com with Cory Houser on the call. Pregame coverage starts at 6:45 p.m. with first pitch at seven.
