The Marion County Board of Supervisors met Tuesday. Discussion was held regarding HIRTA public transportation as it has transitioned from a taxi-like service to one where reservations need to be made 24 hours in advance. These changes were made in response to federal regulations. They also continue to consider a request from the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum for support for their expansion project, and approved the issuance and sale of revenue bonds for the Knoxville Community Hospital Project, among other items.
