Basketball players looking to hone their skills for this coming winter season have a chance to pick up some good experience with a camp being held at Central later this month. The Dutch men’s basketball team is holding a skills camp from July 21 – 24 for any players entering grades 4 – 12. The camp features in depth instruction, lectures and 5-on-5 competition. Coach Craig Douma and assistant coach Joe Steinkamp, along with other Central staff members and players will be there to help athletes with their game. Douma is known for his statewide work as a shooting instructor, and spent 15 years as a high school coach, racking up a 268 – 78 record. The camp is $240, which includes meals and lodging. Commuters can participate for $210, and all players will receive a t-shirt.
