A program that has been on its way up over the last few years, the Central women’s basketball team has the talent to end some unfavorable records come the 2014-15 season. The Dutch have not recorded a winning season since 2001-02 when they went 14 – 12, they have not finished higher than sixth in the conference since 2000-01, and thus, have not made the end-of-the-season league tournament in late February. Coach Chelsea Petersen says that is definitely a program goal this winter, and that it will take plenty of hard work and dedication. Looking at the positives, Central has went from only two wins five seasons ago, to 11 this past campaign, the most since the ’03-’04 year.
