The Pella City Council approved an extension for the completion date of the power plant demolition project. City Administrator Mike Nardini said the date needed to be pushed back a few weeks due to the very wet spring and early summer months. The ongoing project along Oskaloosa Street is expected to be completed by August 1st. He says the area will be converted to green space once demolition crews are finished, and that the council will come up with landscaping ideas for the land this fall and winter.
