Melcher-Dallas softball hung with the number 13 ranked Murray Mustangs, but some late errors cost them as they fell 11 – 1 in six innings. Coach Nick Ellis tells KNIA/KRLS Sports his team was right there with the Mustangs for four innings but committed a string of errors that started the snowball rolling. Kirsten Mull was 1-for-2 at the plate for the Saints, driving in their only run of the contest. The Saints drop to 13 – 13 and tonight they’ll host Southeast Warren for senior night. It’s also a special game for Melcher-Dallas, as it is their “Pink and White” contest, which is similar to Knoxville’s “Coaches vs. Cancer” during the basketball season.
