Habitat for Humanity of Marion County has been awarded an AmeriCorps member position. They are looking for motivated and qualified candidates to serve as a family services coordinator locally during the 2014-2015 service year, which begins September 2. Position Details:
The AmeriCorps member is able to have other employment during this time as long as coordination of schedules can be arranged. Hours will vary from week to week depending on assigned tasks. The AmeriCorps member must complete a minimum of 1,700 hours of service between September 2, 2014 and August 31, 2015, approximately 33 hours per week, and will work some Saturdays in order to perform volunteer service duties. The AmeriCorps member will receive a total living allowance of $12,100 and an education award of $5,550. Since Habitat partnered with the Corporation for National and Community Service in 1994, more than 8,000 AmeriCorps members have served with Habitat for Humanity, helping Habitat to serve more than 20,000 U.S. families, contributing more than 13 million hours of service, raising tens of millions of dollars in resources and engaging nearly 3.1 million volunteers.
