Knoxville’s City Council approved the purchase of several items for the Knoxville Recreation Center at this week’s Council meeting. Brandon Nemmers, Rec Center director, presented the request to the Council, which included just over $2000 in Dri-Dek flooring for the showers, which will keep the floors cleaner. He also requested $4200 in rubber flooring for the weight and cardio rooms, which he says will reduce trip hazards. The final item requested was some equipment for the weight room, in an amount just over $24,000. Council approved all three requests.
