The Knoxville Softball squad blew past Des Moines Hoover last night 10-5. The Panthers got going in the first inning by plating four runs. The Panthers also blasted two home runs courtesy of Emily Wallace in the fourth inning and Ricky Hall in the sixth. After a few nervous moments Coach Steph Chistner told KNIA/KRLS Sports the girls settled down and played pretty well. Hall went 3/4 with a home run and two R-B-I. Emily Wallace earned the win going the distance with five runs on eight hits, two walks and two strikeouts. Knoxville is now 14-16-1 and will travel to Carlisle on Saturday in the class 4A Regional semi-final.
