There is still a lot of fun and educational activities to participate in at Lake Red Rock this week. On Friday they’ll be hosting “Iowa History: Just Dig It” at 10:00 a.m. at the Playscape, and it’s a chance to learn about Iowa’s history by digging for fossils and artifacts. A 1 p.m. at South Tailwater there’s an opportunity to take a Butterfly Safari to learn more about area butterflies, with free nets available for check out at the visitors center. Friday’s activities conclude with a chance to try out Geocaching at 7 p.m. at the Wallashuck Campground. All activities are free of charge and do not require pre-registration.
