The Twin Cedars’ baseball team is in preparation for their opening round contest of the 2014 Class 1A state baseball tournament at Principal Park on Saturday. This was a team that last year finished with the second best record in the state and reached the semifinals of their class’ tournament. This season, though the Sabers have a large number of returners from that 2013 run, Coach Matt Miller says a lot more has changed from last year to this year. Miller credits the guys’ hard work in offseason programs to get them to this point of the year. The Sabers will play Underwood at 11:00 a.m. this Saturday, in a round one game that can be heard live on AM 1320 and FM 95.3 KNIA.
