The National Weather Service reports that a cold front will move southeast across the state this afternoon and tonight. Thunderstorms this morning are not expected to be severe, but may produce heavy rainfall. Stronger thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and tonight. Severe weather is expected, especially over central and southeast Iowa. Some storms may produce high winds and hail, with isolated tornadoes possible. Locally heavy rainfall may cause flash flooding. Much cooler weather is on tap for Monday through Wednesday with temperatures 10 to 20 degrees below normal.
