Chances for severe weather and heavy rainfall return to the area this weekend. The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center has issued a slight risk for severe weather for most of central Iowa on Friday and most of Iowa south of I-80 on Saturday, including Marion County. The greatest threats will be strong winds and heavy rainfall. The KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team is monitoring the developing weather situation.
