Many factors led to the successful season the Pella Christian softball team had in 2014. The Eagles played in a tough conference that featured three ranked teams in Class 4A, including Dallas Center – Grimes, who won the state tournament, Norwalk, who finished fourth, and Oskaloosa, who was fifth. Despite all of that, Coach Karen Harrill says it was the attitude of her young Eagles that helped them fly as far as they did in the postseason. The Eagles will still be a young squad when 2015’s season rolls around next year, as they only lost two seniors, and return five juniors, a sophomore, eight freshmen and two eighth graders.
