Twice the Pella Christian softball team was down to their final strike. Yet, twice, the Eagles were able to come up with base hits in those clutch situations. The second of the knocks involved relief pitcher, Natalie Vos. She was down in the count 1 – 2, and Coach Karen Harrill, who was standing in the third base coaching box, saw her pitcher was not in a good place, so she called time and had a quick word with her. Unfortunately for Pella Christian, Taylor Hartson was thrown out at home trying to tie the game at 11. The Eagles will be hungry come 2015 after a 16 – 19 campaign this year.
