rain

While rainfall makes a return to Iowa, so will stronger thunderstorms.

The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center has issued a slight risk of severe thunderstorms this afternoon and evening for parts of southern Marion County. The biggest threats will be strong winds, hail, and heavy downpours causing flash flooding. Rainfall chances will continue through Thursday evening, with 2-3 inches of rain expected throughout much of Marion County by the end of the week. The KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team is on alert and monitoring the developing weather situation.
