The Pella City Council discussed the future water supply and financing a multi-million dollar project to make improvements to the system at a special meeting on Tuesday.

City Administrator Mike Nardini says the goal of the project is to meet the increasing water usage needs in the city over the next twenty years. The project contains two main features: a new Jordan Well to increase capacity and the addition of a reverse osmosis treatment system. Nardini says the city anticipates the total project to cost between $14.5 and $15.5 million, and is aiming to have the entire project completed by Fall of 2016. We have details about the latest surrounding the project with Nardini on Let’s Talk Pella.
