For the first time in program history, the Central men’s cross country team has cracked the top five in the USTFCCCA (United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association) poll. The preseason rankings have the Dutch perched at the number five spot, with defending champion, St. Olaf, in at number one. Loras, the only other Iowa Conference school to receive votes, is rated 11th. Central brings back nearly their entire squad, including a whopping four all-conference and all-region honorees. Central will host the Dutch Invitational a week from tomorrow to begin their season.
