KHS Cheerleaders

The Knoxville High Cheerleading Squad is set for a new year of competitions and rooting on Panthers athletics.

Head Coach Shantel Bennett says much of the success of her squad is due to the hard work of Senior Cheerleaders Kairee Bishop and Hannah Worrall.

“Last year we had 7 (seniors), so these two girls have taken every bit of this on upon themselves.”

It’s Kairee and Hannah’s job to teach the new members all the cheers and dance routines they’ll need to know. Hannah says it’s a difficult job, but once they get the hang of it, things get easier and makes cheering more fun.

Aside from pumping up the crowds during athletic events this year, the Panther cheerleaders will present a dance routine, choreographed by their senior cheerleaders, during halftime of Knoxville’s Homecoming Football Game on October 3rd and will participate in a 30-second cheer competition in November.
