Five legislative priorities were chosen by the Knoxville School Board during their regularly scheduled meeting Monday.

Superintendent Cassi Murra says the legislative items will be forwarded to the Iowa School Board Association. The five items chosen by the board involve Legislators setting the percentages of supplemental state aid as required by law, changes to the school board election law, changes to budget timelines or timelines for teacher’s contracts, make assessment tests conform with state requirements, and early literacy. More can be heard from Superintendent Murra about the upcoming school year on Let’s Talk Knoxville.
