The Marion County Board Of Supervisors has decided to terminate a pair of leases at the Marion County Farm.

The motion was done during a special session of the board on Thursday. The leases are for 80 acres of pasture and 83 acres of cropland. A special session was needed on the matter because notice had to be given by September 1st.

The board also discussed the possibility of moving some county offices out of the courthouse to the east annex. Space has been limited for some time at the courthouse and the board is looking for a long term solution to the problem.

The Courthouse Space Committee has been told to evaluate the annex and present the board with a rough draft of layout options.
