The staff at the Pella Public library is pleased with participation in this summer’s reading programs.

The programs wrapped up at the Pella Public Library on July 31. Library Director Wendy Street says she’s impressed with the young readers. More than 1100 kids participated and earned more than 1700 prizes and 75 teens participated and read more than 240,000 pages. She adds that they had 100 more entries than last year for the adult program.
