Spring will likely bring construction to two downtown Knoxville streets at the same time.
That will be the recommendation of the Downtown Streetscape Committee to the Knoxville City Council on Tuesday during their regularly scheduled meeting.
Assistant City Manager Dylan Feik says committee members went door-to-door to businesses and invited them to last Tuesday’s committee meeting to get their thoughts on the project. Feik told KNIA/KRLS News the majority of business owners just want to see the project done and are willing have both Main and Robinson Streets worked on at the same time to complete construction quickly.
If all goes according to plan, the Downtown Streetscape Project should be complete about a month ahead of the July 15th contract date.
